Pie Crust Recipe:

This will make enough for crust and lattice topping crust.

  • 2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • cold water

Combine flour and salt.  Cut slices of butter into dry mixture.  Add cold water 2 tablespoons at a time and mix with two knives or dough mixer until you can form into 2 balls (one for crust, one for lattice top).

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

6 medium mangoes (peeled and sliced)

1 teaspoon lemon juice


Mix all dry ingredients first, then add remainder of ingredients in a large bowl.

Bake at 400 for about 42 minutes or until the pie is bubbling and the crust is golden brown. Let pie cool completely on a wire cooling rack before cutting.
