Minute Ready to Serve Rice Review & Giveaway

 Perfectly Cooked Rice in 60 seconds!

When it comes to rice and convenience , Minute Ready to Serve Rice is at the top of my list. My family loves rice and it is not always convenient to make especially when making rice for just one person. My son sometimes asks for rice as a snack which is why Minute Ready to Serve is the perfect solution for us. With Minute Ready to Serve we can now grab a perfect portion of rice as a snack, something that never happens when I make a pot of rice, as we all tend to overeat. 

I had a chance to try the Minute Ready to Serve multi-grain medley, white rice, brown rice and the Jasmine rice and also my favorite the Spanish rice. Every flavor I tried was perfectly cooked after 60 seconds in my microwave and tasted delicious. Now my son has a perfectly portioned serving of rice as a snack which he loves to add sardines to, instead of reaching for a salty snack when he gets home from school. 

Minute has some really great recipes on their website. I love rice pudding so when I came across an Easy Rice Pudding that is made with the Minute Ready to Serve rice, I just had to give it a try. This recipe calls for raisins, I added pumpkin Flax Granola instead, my son and I both enjoyed it as a snack and it was really good.

 

Easy Rice Pudding

Serving size: 1

Ingredients:

1 container Minute Ready to Serve White Rice

1 container single-serving vanilla-flavored pudding cup

2 tbsps pumpkin flax granola

optional: ground cinnamon

Directions:

* Heat rice according to package directions. In small bowl combine rice, pudding and flax-seed; blend well. Sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired.

*Get creative by using different pudding flavors and add-ins such as: dried cranberries or any dried chopped fruit instead of raisins; granola or trail mix or coconut; nuts.

*Or, for a more nutritious dessert use: Minute® Ready To Serve Brown Rice; sugar-free flavored pudding cup; chopped almonds or walnuts
